The Pace 2600C1 is acknowledged to be the best digibox to use in a weak signal area. Its ability to operate with a lower signal threshold than other digiboxes makes it a popular choice on the extreme edge of the signal footprint. We recommend the Pace 2600 for problem areas such as the Canary Islands or Cyprus, as well as some parts of Southern Spain, Italy, Greece etc. While dish size is the biggest factor in determining a good reception, the Pace 2600C1 can be used to improve or overcome problems of pixelisation and evening 'fade-out' that are often experienced with other digiboxes.
The Pace 2600 model was manufactured for a short period prior to the DS430N, and used the best components and chipsets to ensure maximum reliability and weak-signal performance. However, the units were considered by Sky to be too expensive and Pace were requested to re-design the digibox so that it could be supplied to Sky at a reduced price. This resulted in the Pace DS430N, a digibox that is still better than most other makes, but one that fails to beat the Pace 2600 on signal threshold performance. Signal threshold is the minimum signal strength at which a digibox can operate. While this consideration is not important in the UK and surrounding countries, it is of vital importance to anyone who is on the fringe of the Astra 2 footprint.
These Pace 2600 models have been fully refurbished, with the looks and performance of a brand new digibox, and are supplied with a one-year guarantee, with the option of increasing this to two years if required (please see options at the bottom of this page).
Included with the digibox as standard are the following: a remote control handset with batteries, a scart and mains power lead, user instructions and one year guarantee against failure.
When connected to a suitably sized satellite dish, this digibox can be used throughout the UK and Europe to view all UK channels either with or without subscription - see the 'viewing cards' section below.
Packing and delivery is £11.75 on all UK deliveries and £29.00 to any location outside the UK (including BFPO addresses).

Viewing cards:
-
A viewing card is not essential. All Sky digiboxes can be used to receive free-to-air TV and radio channels. This includes all BBC and ITV channels as well as almost all radio channels.
-
A free-to-view or Freesat card can be used to receive Channel Four and Channel Five without subscription, in addition to the free-to-air channels such as BBC and ITV. See 'optional extras' at the bottom of this page.
-
A Sky subscription card can add any combination of Sky channels to the channels described above. Sky subscriptions start at £17.00 a month. There is a large range of channel packages available, so please contact us for more details.
An existing viewing card from another digibox can be registered to this receiver - see our section on Sky viewing cards. Freesat or free-to-view cards are fully interchangeable between different receivers.

Optional extras:
Please choose your selection from the drop-down menus at the bottom of this page:
Free-to-view card - choose this if you want subscription free viewing of all the main UK subscription free channels, including Channel 4, Channel Five, Sky Three, Five Life and Five US.
TV Link - a small device that enables you to connect your digibox, via coaxial cable, to a second TV set - in the bedroom for example. The second TV can then be controlled in the same way as the main TV. Please note that you cannot watch two different channels simultaneously. If you purchase this item, it is a good idea to purchase an additional remote control handset.
Additional remote control - for use with the TV link at a second TV set, or as a spare or replacement. The remote can be used with any Sky digibox and is additional to the one supplied as standard with the digibox.
Wireless AV link - gives you the same capability as the TV link, but without the wires. It allows you to extend your viewing to a second TV set. Like the TV link, it will not allow you to watch different channels simultaneously. This can only be done by installing a second digibox. If you purchase this item, it is usually a good idea to purchase an additional remote control handset.
FM Transmitter - a great little device if you live abroad and like listening to the radio around the house or garden. It transmits the audio from your Sky box to your FM radio. This model is very powerful, with a range of 200 metres. For more information click here.
Sky Gnome - similar to the FM transmitter with more features but a lower, 30m range. Includes a transmitter and a receiver, so there is no need for additional radio. Allows you to change channels, without having to go back to the digibox. For more information click here.
