Sky's High Definition service is the most advanced of its kind in Europe, offering crystal clear pictures, amazing detail and depth of field, together with 5.1 Dolby surround sound.
To view all the available HD channels you need a Sky HD subscription card which costs an additional £10.00 to the standard Sky package price. For example, the full Sky package currently costs £43.50 a month. If you have the HD version of this package, the cost will be £53.50 a month. To access just the BBC trial HD channel, you do not need a subscription.
The Sky High Definition digibox has full Sky Plus functionality. In other words, there is a twin tuner and a 160GB hard disc, which enables you to record up to 80 hours of standard definition programming, or about 25 hours of high definition programming. As with the standard Sky Plus digibox, the Sky Plus features do not cost any extra.

HD Ready TV. Your TV should have the resolution required to support high definition and should be equipped with an HDMI input. TVs with only a DVI socket can be used if you purchase a DVI to HDMI adaptor.
A Sky subscription. The majority of the HD channels are only available when you have a HD subscription card. Also, the recording functions on the Sky Plus receiver are controlled by your viewing card.
A dual or quad LNB - Sky + HD has two tuners and, to enjoy the added benefits of Sky Plus, you need two input cables to be run from an LNB with more than one output.
A single output Sky LNB (as shown on the left) fitted to a Sky elliptical dish must be substituted for a Sky quad LNB (right). Fitting is straightforward.
A single output, non-Sky LNB (the 40mm collar mount is common throughout Europe) must be replaced with a dual or quad output LNB with a similar fitting.

- UK deliveries - £11.75. All standard UK deliveries are sent by Parcelforce 48. Orders received before 12pm are usually sent out that day. Orders received after 12pm may be sent the following day. Deliveries take 2 days, excluding weekends.

Sky Quad LNB - a standard Sky LNB with up to 4 independent outputs. This is the only multi-output Sky LNB - the twin output version is no longer available. Only for use with Sky Zone 1 & Zone 2 dishes.
Quad LNB - 40mm fitting - a high quality Invacom quad LNB with 40mm diameter neck. Suitable for most European dishes (offset focus). The model supplied is the Invacom 0.3dB low noise quad LNB, suitable for use throughout Europe.
Twin LNB - 40mm fitting - a standard two output LNB with the 40mm diameter neck. Suitable for most European dishes. The model shown is the Lemon 0.3dB, suitable for use throughout Europe. Other models are available on request.
