(11) Dish - Triax TD78cm
Search: (11) Dish - Triax TD78cm
£57.00

The Triax TD78 dish is ideal for use in the UK or Europe. It is typically used in the UK for obtaining the Hotbird satellite at 13 degrees East, but can also be used for all UK channels (Astra 28.2), both Freesat and subscription, in areas such as Scotland and Ireland. Outside the UK, it is often used for reception of all UK channels (including BBC & ITV channels) as far south as Barcelona, the French Mediterranean coast, parts of North-West Italy and Switzerland. This is the dish that we supply as part of our 80cm self -installation package.
The dish can be wall, pole or tripod mounted and the brackets and U-bolts for either mounting option are included with the dish. If you are planning to wall mount the dish, the standard Triax wall mount is shown on the photograph below (right), and can be chosen as an optional extra from the product options at the bottom of this page.
The elevation indicator is stamped on the bracket
The standard Triax wall mount is shown on the right - see options below
For wall mounting, the appropriate fixings - ie rawl plugs, coach screws and drill bit - can also be chosen from the optional extras below. This option can save you hours hunting around DIY shops trying to find the right fixings - in our experience, many of the leading DIY shops do not sell the type that you need for this dish.
This dishes are ideal for caravans because the LNB arm can be folded in after use, making storage more straightforward. For caravanners intending to head down to the South of France, Spain, Northern Italy etc. they make a better (but less expensive) alternative than the Maxview Omnisat kits. To purchase this dish with a tripod, please click on this link: 80cm dish and tripod.
Without the locking insert in place, the LNB arm can be folded back for easy storage.
These dishes have a sturdy construction and are designed to withstand high wind speeds. The higher gain than a standard 45cm minidish or 60cm circular dish (37.1 dBi compared to 33.7 dBi and 35.8 dBi) means that they make a good replacement for a 60cm dish that is not holding signal in poor weather.
This dish can be fitted with any standard 40mm LNB (see the product options below - do not use the standard UK 'spigot fitting' type LNBs with this dish).
Assembly instructions are included with the dish.
