Three good reasons why you should choose a self-installation package:
  • Cost
You are not going to find a lower cost or better quality package that includes the receiver, dish and, just as importantly, all the sundry items such as cable, fixings, connectors etc. You will make considerable savings of several hundred pounds by doing the job yourself, rather than by getting a 'professional' to do the job for you.
  • Understanding your system
By taking the time to install the system yourself, you will gain an excellent understanding of how your system works. This is invaluable in the event that your system develops a fault - you will be able to fault-find with confidence - saving you more money on unnecessary call outs.
  • Satisfaction

It's more fun to do it yourself and there's a sense of satisfaction to be gained when everything is set up and working. At the same time, it's not a difficult job, and we are always on hand to provide customer support where required.

How hard is it to install?
 
Installing your own satellite system is perfectly feasible if you are technically minded and reasonably competent at DIY. The most difficult part - aligning the dish - requires patience but can be done using the receiver's built-in signal meter combined with the satellite finder that is included in the package.
 

What channels can I receive?
 
To keep things simple, we have based this internet package around the standard definition Freesat receiver, although the choice is yours. There is a range of different options available, including High Definition receivers and receivers that allow you to watch one channel while recording another. If you want more than the basic system, or would like to discuss your options in more detail, then please telephone us or email us for a quote.

This package will enable you to receive all free satellite channels, most importantly all digital BBC channels (including BBC1, 2, 3 & 4, Children's BBC and CBeebies), ITV channels (including ITV1, 2, 3 & 4), as well as Channel 4 & Five and many digital satellite radio stations. Other popular channels that are available include E4, More 4, Film 4, CNN and the children's channels POP and Children's ITV. 
 
Included in the package are the following:
Freesat Grundig thumbnail with borderFreesat satellite receiver (standard definition version, Grundig or Goodmans brand depending on stock). Other receivers are available on request.
    
  
Dish - Triax TD78 - 150 x 113 4kB80cm diameter satellite dish - this will give you an excellent reception for all UK channels. The wall mount is also included. 
LNB - Inverto Twin 150 x 113 4kBSingle output LNB to suit a standard receiver (a quad output LNB is offered as an option). Choose a twin or quad LNB if you plan to have more than one digibox connected to the dish at any time in the future.

Delivery
 
All standard UK deliveries cost £11.75 and are sent by Parcelforce 48. Your order will be despatched one working day after receipt. Deliveries take 2 days, excluding weekends. If the date of delivery is important to you, please telephone to agree a delivery date.
 
Deliveries to the remainder of Europe cost £29.00 are sent by Parcelforce Euro 48 service. This is a trackable service that delivers in two days to major European cities, but areas outside major towns and cities may take one or two days longer.
