There are are a bewildering variety different satellite cable types - WF100, TX100, WF65, WF125, WF165, RG6, CT100, PF100 to name just a few. For domestic installations you will only need to consider three main categories:
Single core '100 series' cable such as WF100 (Webro) or TX100 (Triax). Made to a high specification and approved by Sky and the CAI. Copper braided and screened to minimise interference.
Twin core cable suitable for Sky+ or Freesat+ boxes that require two feeds from the dish/LNB. WF65 twin consists of two 5mm cables joined by a thin web and will pass through an existing 10mm hole. Twin WF100 cable consists of two WF100 cables joined by a thin web.

Single core RG6 cable is the standard satellite cable that we have been supplying for the last 5 years. It's not Sky or CAI approved, but it is suitable for the vast majority of domestic installations. RG6 is also available in a twin core version for Sky+ or Freesat+ receivers but - unlike the WF65 - there is no reduced diameter version that will allow it to pass through a 10mm hole.
